SRMP40 RadioWave Touch Probe
Radio wave touch probes are designed to accurately detect the surface of a workpiece during CNC machining. When the probe stylus comes into contact with the surface, it deflects slightly. Once the deflection reaches a specific threshold, it causes a change in the internal electrical current, which triggers a signal inside the probe.
This trigger signal is then transmitted wirelessly via radio waves to a receiver mounted on or near the machine. The receiver converts the radio signal into an electrical signal, which is sent directly to the machine’s control system. This process allows the CNC machine to accurately detect the workpiece position, perform automatic workpiece setup, and in-process measurement — all without manual intervention.
Radio wave probes are especially valuable in larger machines where a stable, long-range wireless connection is needed, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission even in challenging industrial environments.
